FABI supports La Bancaria - Argentina

Your Excellency,

On behalf of FABI, affiliated to UNI Global Union, the international trade union federation that groups the workers of the service sector, with more than 20 million members and 900 affiliated unions, we hereby formally denounce the situation being faced by La Bancaria during joint negotiations conducted with the purpose of fixing salaries and working conditions for the current year.

We condemn the actions of the sector's Chambers of Commerce that deny bank workers decent salaries and working conditions, as well as the National Government which you preside, for act or omission of an anti-union policy that affects Argentine men and women bank workers.

We express our support and active solidarity with our brothers and sisters and call for an immediate end to your government's conduct, and urge compliance with obligations that ensure workers benefits, taking into account that these negotiations concern food and dignity of work.

We also reject taking away the rights acquired under the Retirement System of Banco de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, whose workers make contributions higher than those of the National System, which causes serious damage to current retirees and pensioners, as well as to men and women workers who are about to retire.
